MicroDucts are small diameter conduits ranging from 5-18 mm OD that provide a pathway for fiber cables. They are a natural evolution of standard conduits as space in networks is a premium and as new technologies develop, they typically decrease in size. FuturePath is two or more MicroDucts bundled under an oversheath. Both products can be installed using standard Outside Plant (OSP) installation methods in common applications. MicroDucts
MicroDucts are a great way of getting the most versatility out of your current empty duct system. Why install one fiber cable when you could install multiple MicroDucts? Each MicroDuct is a pathway for fiber now or in the future. Expand your network based on growing network demands.
MicroDuct Characteristics:
- HDPE MicroDucts are small, 5mm - 27mm in diameter
- Manufactured with Silicore - super slick permanent lining
- A single MicroDuct can accommodate up to 462 fibers

- Also available in Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) material
FuturePath
MicroDucts are factory bundled with a polyethylene oversheath into an easy-to-handle unit is known as FuturePath. FuturePath can be installed just like Standard HDPE Conduit: open trench, directional drilled, plowed or pulled into an existing conduit. No special tools or equipment are required for installation.
FuturePath Characteristics:
- Configurations: 7, 4, 3 or 2-way
- Utilize space in an occupied duct
- Revitalize existing networks with Overrides

FuturePath Flex
Leading the way in MicroTechnology, Dura-Line developed FuturePath Flex to meet specific saw cut (MicroTrenching) installation requirements. FuturePath Flex's preconfigured bundles will save on installation time and add versatility and expansion opportunities to your network.
FuturePath Flex Characteristics:
- MicroDucts joined by a thin web of HDPE, allowing for easy separation and routing of individual ducts
- Configurations: 8, 7, 6, 4 or 2-way
- Flat shape allows installation in narrow slits, saw cuts, direct buried (traditional trenching) or horizontally drilled (bored) applications
- Can be placed vertically, horizontally, or rolled into a round shape for vibratory plow or directional drilling
- Ideal for MicroTrenching, resulting in reduced soil removal and impact to the right-of-way
FuturePath Figure-8 Aerial
For a fast installation with the lowest deployment cost, build an aerial network with FuturePath Figure-8 Self-Support. Constructed with factory bundled MicroDucts and a polyethylene oversheath that incorporates a 1/4" (6,35 mm) Extra High Strength Galvanized Steel Strand.

FuturePath Aerial is a bundled package of MicroDucts for easy installation in an aerial environment. FuturePath makes the best use of limited available space on the pole while reducing installation cost and time to deploy. No special installation hardware or tools needed for deployment other than standard aerial installation equipment.
